The Knoxville Museum of Art Announces One-Day Art Workshops for Children and Adults with Autism

The Knoxville Museum of Art is pleased to announce a series of one-day hands-on workshops for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders June 1-5, 2015.

Ages 3-4, Monday, June 1, 9am-12noon
Ages 5-6, Tuesday, June 2, 9am-12noon
Ages 7-9, Wednesday, June 3, 9am-12noon
Ages 10-12, Thursday, June 4, 9am-12noon
Ages 13-18, Friday, June 5, 9am-12noon

Adults 18+, Monday, June 1, 1-4pm

Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific age group. Classes are limited to 10 students each, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes will be held at the Knoxville Museum of Art. Each student needs to be accompanied by a caregiver.

Students will interact with works of art in the galleries, and explore different art processes while creating their own works of art. Age-appropriate classes will explore new art adventures as students and caregivers partake in various art-making activities, sensory experiences, and the students’ own personal interests.
