The Knoxville Museum of Art Announces New Board Officers and Members

August 10, 2017

The Knoxville Museum of Art is pleased to announce the election of new board officers and new board members. Allison Lederer, vice-president and wealth advisor at Regions Bank, began her two-year term as chair on July 1, taking over from former chair Richard Jansen. Knoxville attorney Caesar Stair IV has been confirmed as the new chair elect and will begin his term as chair in 2019.

Joining the KMA board for the first time are Conner Coffey, Courtney Jernigan, Twuanna Ward, and Terry Wertz. Steve Bailey, Jennifer Dunn, Sylvia Peters, and Loida Velazquez all served previously on the KMA board and are returning after a hiatus.

“The support of committed and engaged stakeholders with deep roots in the community is vital for any successful organization, and the KMA has benefitted from a long history of outstanding volunteer leadership,” said KMA Executive Director David Butler. “Allison breaks new ground as the museum’s first Gen X board chair and brings a refreshing new perspective. It is exciting to see this generational shift begin; I believe it portends great things for the KMA and for our community.”
