Alive into 2020! New Year’s Eve Party with Mac Arnold & Plateful O’ BluesDecember 31, 2019 - January 01, 2020
It’s clear to see that “Alive into 2020!” is going to be the place to be for New Year’s Eve!
Dance to the grooves of Plateful O’ Blues, led by the Blues and R&B legend, Mac Arnold. Here are a few highlights from Mac’s amazing resume. His first band included James Brown on piano. How’s that for starters? Then, when Mac moved to Chicago, Muddy Waters hired him on the spot. He toured and recorded with the Muddy Waters Band and recorded LPs with Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker. Mac later moved on to Los Angeles and co-produced “Soul Train” with his friend Don Cornelius. He also played bass on the “Sanford & Son” television show sound track when he wasn’t playing for Otis Redding and B.B. King. He retired from show business for a while to be an organic farmer in his native South Carolina, but multi-instrumentalist Max Hightower and guitarist Austin Brashear persuaded him to come out of retirement and form a new band, Plateful O’ Blues, and they’ve been touring and recording ever since.
