ARTISTS ON LOCATION May 31-June 2, 2012

The Guild of the Knoxville Museum of Art is hosting the 7th annual fundraising event Artists on Location: A Plein-air Event, Exhibition & Sale.

This year Lori Putnam, a nationally known plein air artist and teacher from Franklin, Tennessee, ( will give a painting demonstration on THURSDAY night followed by the Exhibition and Sale on Saturday evening. Again this year we are focusing on the creation of works on site during the event. Our mission is to promote the sale of Plein-Air works by Local & Regional Artists through the KMA, by inviting the public to attend a FREE Exhibition Reception.


Thursday, May 31
7pm: Demonstration and reception at the UT Downtown Gallery by Lori Putnam. Free for participants & sponsors. An admission of $10 at the door for the public (includes light hors d'oeuvres). Artists may register at this reception if not pre-registered. The UT Downtown Gallery is located at 106 S. Gay Street (parking is free after 6pm)

Saturday, June 2
7pm: Exhibit Opening at the Knoxville Museum of Art Exhibition and sale of plein air works completed by participating local & regional artists. The evening will include free hors d' oeuvres with live music and a cash bar. Exhibition is FREE to the Public. Awards Presentation will be given at 7:30pm.
